Rhonda Dean has been a school administrator since 1997. She has served as a principal at Washburn high school, Andover high school and served as a member of the administrative team that opened Wayzata high school in 1997. In 2003, Ms. Dean was selected as MASSP’s Assistant Principal of the year for the State of Minnesota. Prior to working as a school administrator, she was a mathematics teacher in the Minneapolis School District.
Ms. Dean grew up in Fridley and is a 1979 graduate of Fridley High School. She attended Normandale Community College, the University of St Thomas and completed her undergraduate work at Cameron University in Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and a minor in Finance. Ms. Dean received her Master of Arts Degree in Education in 1996 from St. Mary’s University; a K-12 Administrative License in 1997; and received her Superintendent License in 2008.
Ms. Dean has two adult children who live in the metro area and two grandsons. In her (limited) spare time, she plays golf in the summer and racquetball in the winter.
