School Lunches

During the 2023 Minnesota Legislative Session, lawmakers signed into law the Free School Meals program for students beginning in the 2023-2024 school year. All students will be eligible for one reimbursable breakfast and one reimbursable lunch per day free of charge. Even with this change, districts are still required to keep track of meals served to each individual child and families that qualify for educational benefits.

Meal Prices for 2023-24

Breakfast
  • Adult/Second full Student Meal: $2.25

Lunch
  • Adult/Second full Student Meal: $4.95

Milk $0.60

Educational Benefits

ISD 883 will continue to collect the Application for Educational Benefits to determine if students qualify for free or reduced-price meals. Students qualifying for benefits increases federal and state funding to support learning experiences for students in ISD 883. Please help ISD 883 students by completing the application! Qualifying for benefits also helps your family reduce fees in other areas of your child’s school experience. Please apply!
