About the Director

Miriam Augsburger graduated from Goshen College (Goshen, IN) in 2006 with a B.A. in Music Education, and a minor in Piano Pedagogy. She taught elementary music for six years at Parkside Elementary, also in Goshen. While teaching elementary music, she gained her Orff Certification at Anderson University (Anderson, IN). In 2015 Miriam received her M.A. in Choral Conducting and Pedagogy from the University of Iowa where she studied conducting with Dr. Timothy Stalter. Since then, Miriam has taught choir at Middle and High School levels. She is currently teaching 7-12th grade choir at Rockford Area Schools (Rockford, MN). She volunteers as a church musician and is active as an accompanist, playing for soloists as well as accompanying musicals.
