Requirements to Participate in Athletics/Activities

Volleyball is available to students in grades 7-12. Depending on registration numbers, Rockford Area Schools will have the following teams each season: 7th grade, 8th grade, C-squad, junior varsity and varsity. Please review the following to ensure your player is eligible to practice on the first day (when registration is opened, all materials can be found on the Activities homepage):

  • Submit online registration form.
  • A sports-qualifying physical exam is required every 3 years to participate in Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) activities.  The player's physical exam needs to be on file in the Activities office to be eligible to practice with the team. To check your student's last physical date, login to your parent portal.
  • Payment of activity fee is required to be eligible to practice or participate (and/or a payment plan set up with the Activities office).
  • Once per school year (not per activity), the MSHSL Eligibility Statement and Annual Sports Health Questionnaire needs to be submitted to the Activities office.

Players in grades 9-12 will practice in the high school gyms after school. Players in grades 7-8 will practice at the elementary school. Please email the coach with any additional questions regarding practice.
